Dear Friends,
I know that the news that public masses are suspended throughout the diocese until April 14 is upsetting to all of us. During this time St. Francis de Sales church will be open for private prayer in the morning and afternoon. While we won’t be gathering as usual for mass for now, I invite you to unite yourselves with the Lord in prayer, whether at home or in a visit to the church.
We will continue adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on the Thursdays of Lent from 9:30am to 10:30am.
Parish Outreach will be open at the regular hours (Mon., Wed. & Fri., 10am-12 and 1pm-3pm, to the best of our ability, so long as we have enough volunteers to make that happen).
The rectory is open Monday to Thursday at normal hours, until we are directed otherwise. Confession is available by appointment by calling the rectory at (631) 475-0161.
The challenges we’ll be facing in the coming weeks, practicing “social distancing” and keeping ourselves clean and healthy, are for the good of all. Let’s pray for one another and for our world, as we make this journey together, through the intercession of Mary, especially under the healing title of Our Lady of Lourdes, and of our patron St. Francis de Sales.
